Swedish-born actress Britt Ekland was the first celebrity to touch down in Australia last night ahead of the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
When quizzed about her appearance on the reality show, the 68-year-oold Hollywood starlet declared: 'Why did I sign up for the jungle? I have a one-woman show and I wanted an opportunity to raise my profile. I want people to come and see my show.'
The former Bond Girl admitted she has never seen I'm A Celebrity but she is not frightened about her upcoming stint in the jungle.
'I'm not scared of snakes, spiders or heights. I have three children as as a mum, you can't be afraid of things like that.

'I wouldn't say I'm a jungle Jane but I'm not afraid of anything. I'm usually working at this time of year, so I have never seen the show.
'I saw George Hamilton was in it last year but that's all I know.'
